Triumph Over Defamation and Disinformation

We recently advocated for a gaming company in a case involving a disgruntled ex-employee who took to spreading false accusations about the company's game program on an online gaming community site.

The authorities conducted an investigation and consequently forwarded the ex-employee's case to the prosecution.

The ex-employee propagated the following unfounded claims within the gaming community:
1. The game is rigged with a bot that manipulates odds, making it impossible for players to win.
2. The game contains a viewer that enables visibility into players' items.
3. The gaming company is systematically obliterating evidence.

In response to these allegations, we vigorously disproved each one, demonstrating the absence of any odds-manipulating bots or viewers in the game. We also established that there was no foundation for the suspicion of evidence destruction, and what the ex-employee had misconstrued as such was, in fact, a completely different matter.

The police recognized the validity of our arguments and subsequently referred the ex-employee to the prosecutor's office, recommending charges of obstruction of justice and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
